PhotoFiltre Studio X is a powerful and yet easy to learn image editor. Its extensive functionality covers the needs of all types of users – from those who just want to remove those annoying red eyes and correct some basic exposure mistakes, to those who enjoy adding some creativity to their favorite photographs. Its wide selection of filters and enhancement tools will surely satisfy both the novice and the professional photographer.
This tool opens almost any type of digital image. It not only supports all the best known image file formats (BMP, TIF, JPEG, PNG, ICO, or GIF), but also a large number of proprietary RAW formats, such as Canon, Kodak, Fuji, Pentax, Olympus, Nikon, Minolta, and others. It works perfectly also with files coming from other well-known editors, like Photoshop, Paintbrush Pro, or Autodesk.
All the basic functionality needed to correct the most common exposure mistakes can be easily accessed by using its convenient tool bars, including the automatic adjustment of color levels and contrast. Manually, you can make adjustments in the histogram, brightness, contrast, hue and saturation values, color balance, gamma level, and more. All these changes can be applied to the whole photograph or just to a part of it - the program offers you various tools to select or leave out specific sections of the image. The changes can be stored in layers, which you can then combine and/or interchange, while leaving the original file intact. The image itself can also be altered to fit your preferences – this application includes easy-to-use tools to crop, skew, flip, and rotate any image. Besides, you can change perspective, and correct the horizon line of those slightly tilted photographs.
The different enhancement tools and filters available in this neat piece of software are just as effective as intuitive. Color changes, transparencies, negative effects, posterization, softening, sharpening, textures, relieves, different levels of noise, almost any artistic filter you can think of is available in PhotoFiltre Studio X, and can be applied with just a few key strokes. You can also add masks, symbols, texts, frames, and use the different brushes to paint or write on top or your photograph. The possibilities are endless, and the only limit is your creativity. |
